You Are Too Important to be Ignored

Most of us (statistically, over 95 percent) are stuck, often unknowingly, in a constant state of fight-or-flight. While we may not be conscious of it, our body is aware, and is trying to show us another way.

Sickness, chronic pain, tight muscles, fatigue—these aren't always the random ailments we think they are. Often they are cries for our attention from a deeply connected and wise part of ourselves.

When my car needs attention, a warning light comes on to let me know. It's the same with my body. But while I can easily recognize my car's warning signals, I'm often oblivious to my body's signs.

Many of us are like cars, clunking through life with flat tires, broken engines, no oil, and every warning light permanently lit...

Meanwhile, we're covering the dash with tape and band-aids, trying to block out those pesky lights so we can focus on our very important life.

You—the real you, the deeper you—are too important to be ignored.

A good friend once said, "If you take care of your house, it will take care of you."

If you take care of your car, it will take care of you.

If you take care of your body, it will take care of you.

You are not your body. You are living in it for a while. The real you, the deeper you, is flowing through for now.

Your body is not you; it is a gift to you. A material tool for you to use while you are in this material world.

So use it. Let it help you. Let it support you. Let it speak to you and show you the way.

It is speaking to you right now. Listen... what do you hear?
