Dear friend and soiree guest,
Thank you for your presence at our recent soiree! Below are some links relevant to the night:
Support The Artist
If you'd like to do something to show appreciation and support for this month's artist (me, Nathan, hi, hello :)), you can do so in the following ways:
Buy Nathan's Music—if you didn't get a chance to grab a copy of his albums or books, you can do so on bandcamp and gumroad.
Subscribe to Nathan's Weekly Newsletter—this is the best way to stay connected directly to Nathan's work, and paid subscriptions of any amount are an optional way to support his work ongoing.
Connect Nathan with event planners—Nathan gives keynotes and performances on wellbeing, human connection, and creativity all over the country. He's recommended by Netflix, Wellbeing at Work, OSF Hospital, Chicago Bar Association, The Compassionate Friends, and many others. If you are connected with an organization that holds public events, an introduction would be extremely valuable. More about Nathan's work on his website, and his email address is nathan@nathanpeterson.net.
Support The Music Building
You can support The Music Building—a nonprofit we founded in order to support artists and reconnect and vitalize communities (read more about TMB here—in the following ways:
Donate—one-time, monthly, or annual donations enable us to build. Fully tax-deductible. To donate, click here.
Host—we envision 1% of Oak Park homes hosting an annual concert (yard signs coming!) to promote human connection and togetherness. We make hosting easy—no strangers in your home (your friends and neighbors, or whoever you invite, only), and the only cost to you is the (completely optional) food/drinks you provide (unless you would like to be a "sponsoring host," which some hosts love to do (see below)). If you're interested in hosting, email us and we'll connect you with our hosting committee for next steps.
Sponsor—as a business or an individual, you can underwrite one or multiple home concerts in Oak Park. As a sponsor, you'll be recognized, but more importantly, you will single-handedly make an experience like the one you experienced recently in our home possible for 30+ people, a host, and an artist—you'll be directly causing human connection in our community. Sponsoring a concert costs $3000 → $2500 goes directly to the artist, and $500 goes toward TMB operations. Fully tax-deductible. If you're interested in sponsoring, email us and we'll connect you with our sponsorship committee to set it up.
Thank you again for being our guest. See you next month if not sooner! ♥️
—Nathan and Heather
