Clarity > Order
I realized this morning during a walk, I spend too much energy trying to “get my life in order”. I should realize by now, my life will never feel “in order”. Because it never ends. As soon as things are in order, something knocks it back out of order. That's just life. The only things that stay put are dead things, like astroturf and fake plants. Life is much more chaotic, and alive than I like to think. I think there is more value in removing as many things as possible. Letting go, over and over and over. Until there are so few things left that even if there’s not order, there is clarity. That's really what I’m looking for anyway. Clarity is a much more legitimate and realistic goal than order.
